The rates of payments are also as follows; single individuals aged 55 and over receive $816.90. The amount is $698.30 for people in partnership or $987.70 if a single principal carer meets equal obligations.
Application Process and Payment Schedule
To apply, make sure you are eligible and sign up for a MyGov account where you will manage your Centrelink services. Forward all forms of identification that are necessary when conducting the verification online, by telephone, or by face to face interview.
Upon filing of the claim, it usually takes approximately 21 days of processing. The initial payment will be made within two weeks from the approval of the payment, and other payments will be made twice a fortnight. MyGov account enable you to track the status of your claim and notify any changes of income.
