Amar Kumar and his wife took a loan for starting their own business of running a flour mill and they proved to be very successful. Mojahidpur village comes under the administrative block of Amarapur in Banka district. They both manage the mill and are able to make good money out of it.
Amar Kumar stated that he started working after he finished his education up to the elementary level, namely, ninth grade, he left his parent’s home in the search for a job.

He built his career and for a few years, he stayed away from home. But when he got married, he went back to his village where he engaged in manual jobs in search of a better life. One day he was busy doing some chores in the house he asked his wife whether she would be able to work a flour mill.
She agreed to his proposal and after getting her consent he slowly gathered courage and planned to start a small business. There they avail a loan of ₹10 lakhs in the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneur Scheme to buy an automatic flour mill, roaster, packing, and sewing machines.

They further started processing pure wheat flour, besan, and roasted besan meant for marketing in the local market. Amar Kumar informed that his wife looks into operations and he into selling processed products such as flour, gram flour and roasted gram flour in the market.
They purchase wheat and chickpeas from the farmers directly to avoid being supplied with products that have been blended with inferior quality ones. They also marketed their products under the name “SR”.
Five kilograms packed flour costs ₹ 165 along with 25 kilograms packed flour which cost ₹ 750 is easily welcomed by the customers present in the market.
They also pack and sell gram flour and roasted gram flour in appropriately designed packets of 200 grams and 500 grams. They have been able to sell a lot more products over time and have even been able to earn ₹10 lakhs per annum easily.
