The amount you receive depends on your income and family status

Single Individuals: Up to $446 a year.

Couples: This can range from $245 to $650 depending on the choices made every year by M&S.

Children: $171 per child per year, for any child under the age of 19 that is registered for Canada Child Benefit.

Application Process

 To apply for the GST/HST credit, follow these steps:

 1. Visit the Official Website: Search for Canada. ca and then try in the search of that website to find CRA section.

 2. Select the Application Form: In as much as they are both similar, there is Form RC66 which is for persons with children and Form RC151 which is for individuals only.

 3. Submit Your Application: Send that form to the tax center after you have filled it.
