LPG price reduction

Commercial Gas Cylinder Rates
As of July 1, oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinders across various cities.

- Kolkata: ₹1,756
- Mumbai: ₹1,598
- Chennai: ₹1,809
This price relief will be dear to all citizens, especially those who use commercial gas cylinders.
Domestic Gas Cylinder Prices
However, it has to be clarified that the prices of the 14-kilogram domestic gas cylinders have been maintained intact. Here are the current prices for domestic cylinders in major cities.
- Delhi: ₹800
- Kolkata: ₹818
- Mumbai: ₹818
- Chennai: ₹803
For Ujjwala beneficiaries, the price is cheaper at ₹ 603. With regard to the new consumers, the first 100 units are charged at ₹ 5 per unit; for the next 100 units, the rate is ₹ 7, and for units in excess of 200 units, the rate is ₹ 9.
Previous Reductions
Out of the components of commercial LPG, the oil marketing companies had even cut the price of the 19-kg commercial gas cylinders by ₹72 in June itself. Here were the rates following that cut.
- Delhi: ₹1,576
- Kolkata: ₹1,787
- Mumbai: ₹1,629
- Chennai: ₹1,848. 50
These adjustments applied up to June, but they provided some consumer relief in July as well.
