Disappointing Sales Numbers
Sales of Mahindra’s Marazzo MPV have remained poor throughout the year, as the latest numbers indicate. As for the structure, the company sold a mere 14 units of this seven-seat automobile in July 2024. This sales fallage has been persistent over the years and has been a worry to many since the Marazzo was even pulled off the company’s website last month.
However, Mahindra freshed everyone’s memory by launching the new model of Marazzo. For instance, from January to July 2024, a total of only 196 units were sold, showing reduced customer demand.
Features and Specifications
There are numerous glamorous features of luxury and safety integrated in Mahindra Marazzo new model. There are other commonalities for all the variants including airbags, ABS, EBD, and rear parking sensors.
Also, it features a fullFFS display infotainment system measuring 7. 0 inches, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, automatic climate control, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The engine fitted under the hood of Marazzo is a 1. 5-litre diesel that produces 121 horsepower and 300 Nm torque output coupled with a 6 speed manual transmission.
Price Changes When Sales Are Slow
Due to low demand for the Marazzo, Mahindra has in the recent past opted to hike the prices of this automobile. In particular, the price bump for the range is of Rs 20,000, so now, the M2 7s and M2 8s will cost Rs 14,59400.
At the same time, the prices of M4 Plus 7s and 8s variants have also increased by almost Rs 20,000 and the new prices of the M4 Plus 7s and 8s versions have been fixed at Rs 15,86,000 and Rs 15,94,200 respectively. Likewise, M6 Plus 7s and 8s variants have also a higher price tag of Rs 16,92,000 and Rs 17,00,200 respectively.
Challenges and Future Prospects
Nonetheless, the Marazzo still feels that it is fighting hard for a share in the market. The organization has tried to increase sales though discount sales of up to Rs 1 L but this has not helped to enhance the sales. The car comes in the MPV segment where it has to compete direct rivals like the Maruti Ertiga among others, which puts it under pressure.
The future of the Marazzo is therefore, ominously hinged on the manner in which the manufactures shall be able to respond to the dynamic nature of the consumer trends and market demands.
