In Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, schools will remain closed from Saturday to Monday due to the KanwarYatra. This holiday extension applies to students from classes 1 to 8. Following the directive of the District Magistrate, District Basic Education Officer Virendra Kumar Singh has instructed that all schools under the Basic Education Department be closed.

Similarly, the administration in Varanasi has decided to keep all schools closed on Mondays in the month of Sawan. Instead, schools will be open on Sundays. This measure has been taken due to the heavy crowd in Kashi VishwanathDham temple. Last year, the Varanasi administration also kept schools closed on Mondays for the same reason.
